They say the Earth has ups and downs,

a topsy-turvey place.

But which is up and which is down,

when you are out in space?

We’ll just agree that up is north,

we’ll say that south is down.

As long as everyone agrees,

There’ll be no cause to frown.

South Pole,

that’s Antarctica.

The pole that’s down below.

North Pole’s

in the Arctic.

I wonder, should we go?

For either one

we’d better pack

a lot of heavy clothes.
